Episode 261

Across The Beast...

Acccording to the Senic 50 website: “Starting and ending at the beautiful Cane Bay Beach, runners are treated to sunrise along the north shore for a little over 5 miles before heading into the newly created trails that work its way up east scenic with the luxury of soft ground and shade. At the top of east scenic runners follow the dirt road back into the old jeep trails to the top of the beast. Continuing across the beast, runners follow the scenic west trails, and head down to St. Croix’s beautiful west-end shoreline via Creque Dam road. They soak up the shade along Creque Dam road as there are about 2.5 miles of sun exposed shoreline to run before heading back into the trails via the infamous Crusher hill. The course will briefly backtrack on previously covered trail back to the top of The Beast. A steep but stunningly beautiful descent down The Beast and there is only a mile to go to the finish line and a proper beach party celebration.”
